Landscape construction
New landscapes, planted to finish the project.
Hardscape gives a yard its shape. Planting, irrigation and lighting make it a place you use. We finish our own projects, and we start yards from bare ground.

How we work
How it gets built
Irrigation is laid out and tested before planting. Lighting runs in the trenches we already have open. Plants go in after the hardscape, so they are not trampled.
Site visit
We walk the space with you, measure, check slope, access and drainage, and ask what you want the space to do.
Written scope and price
Materials, finishes, layout, schedule and a clear price in writing. If your city needs a permit or an engineer, it is in the scope.
Build
Our own crew. Excavation, base, forms, steel and drainage are checked before anything is covered.
Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you and close out the punch list before we call it done.

Timeline
How long it takes
Planting is usually the last one to two weeks of a larger project. A bare-yard landscape is a project of its own in our 2 to 12 week range.

Good to know
- Protected oaks and other regulated trees are pruned only with the required city or county permit, and we check before we cut.
- Grading permits and engineered plans are obtained when the city or county requires them.
- Lighting we install is low-voltage landscape lighting. New 120-volt circuits and outlets are installed by a licensed electrician.
- Many water agencies offer turf replacement rebates that must be approved before work starts. We tell you which program fits your bill before we plan around it.
Progress to finish
In progress, then finished
The same spot on the same job: mid-build, then done.

Questions
Things people ask before they call.
Can you replace my lawn with something lower-water?
Yes. Many water agencies pay rebates for it, but most require approval before you remove the lawn. Ask us on the site visit and we will point you to the program for your water bill. Our service-area pages list the programs we have checked.
Do you do tree work?
We plant and prune trees as part of landscape projects. Protected oaks and other regulated trees are pruned only with the required city or county permit, and we check before we cut.
Do you offer weekly gardening?
Our crews are set up to build and install landscapes. For HOAs and managed properties, we offer annual landscape care agreements; see the commercial page.
Sod or artificial turf?
Sod is cooler underfoot and lives on water. Artificial turf saves water and mowing but gets hot in full sun. Some water rebates exclude artificial turf, so check before you choose.
