Services

Five things we build, from the base up.

Most projects run 2 to 12 weeks. Most of what makes a patio or a wall last is buried before the pour, and that is the part we refuse to rush.

  1. Concrete patios and walkways

Patios, walkways, steps and pads, stamped, smooth or scored, plus pool decks and driveways when they are part of a larger landscape project. Poured on a compacted base with rebar and solid forms, with clean edges and joints.

  2. Stone and block walls

Retaining, garden and seat walls, raised planters, column bases and stone veneer on landscape walls, with footings and drainage done right behind them. Walls that need engineering are built to engineered plans with permits.

  3. Paver patios and walkways

Paver patios, walkways and side yards, plus turf-and-paver grids, set on a compacted base with clean edges and the right slope for drainage.

Paver entry walk · Westlake Village
  4. Outdoor kitchens

For homes: BBQ islands, counters, stone finishes and fire features, with the patio around them. Gas and electrical connections are coordinated with appropriately licensed trades.

  5. New landscapes

Planting, tree planting and pruning, sod and artificial turf, drip and sprinkler irrigation, drainage and low-voltage lighting, to finish a project or to start a yard from bare ground. Protected trees need a city permit first, and we check before we cut.

We are a licensed C-27 landscaping contractor, CSLB Lic. #1102401. The concrete, stonework and pavers we build are part of your landscape, not stand-alone jobs.

How we work

Family owned. Four steps, no surprises.

Our team brings 30 years of hands-on landscaping experience and a focus on the small details, so your project is built once and built right.

  1. Site visit

Call, text or send the short form with a photo. We walk the property with you, listen first and measure second.

  2. Plan and price

A written scope with materials, finishes, a schedule and a clear price. Nothing hidden in the line items.

  3. Build

Our own crew, on the schedule we gave you. Base, rebar, footings and drainage are done properly before anything gets covered up.

  4. Walkthrough

We walk the finished work with you, take care of anything on the punch list, and only then call the job done.

Fire rebuild

Rebuilding after the fires?

  • Pacific Palisades
  • Malibu
  • Altadena

When the house is coming back, the yard has to come back with it. We build the hardscape and planting around the new home, working alongside your builder and architect.

  • Concrete, stone walls, pavers and gravel near the house
  • Hillside retaining walls and drainage
  • Planting plans drawn to scale, with lower-fuel plant choices

Requirements differ by city and change over time. We plan around your city's current rules and your builder's plans.

Questions

Things people ask before they call.

Poured concrete side-yard stairs with recessed step lights, cable railing and a stacked-stone wall
CSLB license#1102401 (C-27)
Our team30 years of hands-on landscaping
Is the site visit free?

Yes, on qualifying projects, which generally means work of about $10,000 and up. We walk the property with you, talk through what you want and follow up with a written scope and price.

Do you take small jobs?

Our crews are set up for projects that typically run 2 to 12 weeks. If yours is smaller, text a photo to (805) 797-3346 and the office will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

Are you licensed?

Yes. We are a California C-27 landscaping contractor, CSLB Lic. #1102401, and we carry workers' compensation insurance for our crew. You can check the license any time on the CSLB website.

How long does a project take?

Most of our projects run 2 to 12 weeks, depending on size, materials and permits. A patio or walkway is on the short end; a full backyard with walls, patios and an outdoor kitchen is on the long end. Your schedule comes with your written scope.

Should I choose concrete or pavers?

Both last when the base is built right. Poured concrete, stamped or smooth, usually costs less per square foot and gives one continuous surface. Pavers usually cost more to install, but a single paver can be lifted and reset if you ever need a repair. We walk you through both on the site visit.

What goes into an outdoor kitchen?

For homes, usually a block island with a stone or stucco finish, counters and openings for a grill, side burner, fridge or pizza oven, plus the patio around it. We build the island, the finishes and the flatwork. Gas and electrical connections are coordinated with appropriately licensed trades.

Do retaining walls need a permit?

Often, yes. The rules vary by city, but taller walls, and walls that hold up a slope, a driveway or a structure, usually need a permit and engineered plans. We check with your city or county building department, tell you what your wall needs, and coordinate the engineer and the permit when it does.

Do you work with hotels, HOAs and condo communities?

Yes: landscape refreshes, walls and planters, paver and walkway work within landscape projects, irrigation upgrades, lawn conversions and annual landscape care agreements. Use the commercial page to request a bid walk.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Se habla español. Call or text the office at (805) 797-3346 and ask for Spanish.

What areas do you serve?

All of Ventura County, plus Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Woodland Hills, Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Pasadena and Burbank in Los Angeles County, and Altadena for fire rebuild work. Not sure? Call or text (805) 797-3346.
