How we work
How it gets built
We frame the island in block, check every opening against your appliance cut sheets, then finish it. Gas and electrical work is scheduled with licensed trades before the counters go on.
Site visit
We walk the space with you, measure, check slope, access and drainage, and ask what you want the space to do.
Written scope and price
Materials, finishes, layout, schedule and a clear price in writing. If your city needs a permit or an engineer, it is in the scope.
Build
Our own crew. Excavation, base, forms, steel and drainage are checked before anything is covered.
Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you and close out the punch list before we call it done.

Timeline
How long it takes
An outdoor kitchen is usually one part of a larger backyard project in our 2 to 12 week range. Appliance lead times can move the finish date, so we order early.

Progress to finish
In progress, then finished
The same spot on the same job: mid-build, then done.

The island framed in block with openings, then finished in stone with counters, grill and pizza oven.

The travertine fire pit test-fired mid-build, then finished on the deck.

Block walls going up by the lake, then the finished kitchen on a scored patio.
Questions
Things people ask before they call.
Who connects the gas and electrical?
Gas and electrical connections are coordinated with appropriately licensed trades. We schedule that work into your project so it is done before the counters and finishes go on.
Can I supply my own grill and appliances?
Yes. Send us the model numbers early. We build the openings to the manufacturer's cut sheets.
Do you build outdoor kitchens for HOAs or hotels?
No. We build outdoor kitchens and fireplaces for homes. For HOA and hotel properties we focus on landscape, walls, walkways and irrigation.
How long does an outdoor kitchen take?
The island itself is a part of the project, usually built while the patio around it is formed and poured. Appliance delivery dates often set the finish date.
