Landscape construction
Paver patios and walkways, set to drain and stay flat.
Pavers stay flat when the base is right. We dig out, compact in lifts, screed the bedding sand and set edges that hold the field in place.

How we work
How it gets built
We wet and compact the base in layers, check slope with a level and string, then set the field. Drain grates are set before the pavers so they sit flush.
Site visit
We walk the space with you, measure, check slope, access and drainage, and ask what you want the space to do.
Written scope and price
Materials, finishes, layout, schedule and a clear price in writing. If your city needs a permit or an engineer, it is in the scope.
Build
Our own crew. Excavation, base, forms, steel and drainage are checked before anything is covered.
Walkthrough
We walk the finished work with you and close out the punch list before we call it done.

Timeline
How long it takes
A side yard or small patio sits on the short end of our 2 to 12 week range. A full backyard with steps, borders and planting takes longer. Your dates come in the written scope.

Good to know
- Driveways and front entries are built as part of front-yard landscape projects, not as stand-alone jobs.
- Pool decks and the hardscape around them are part of our landscape work when they are part of a larger landscape project. The pool itself, including the shell, plaster, coping and equipment, is built by a licensed C-53 pool contractor.
- We are a licensed C-27 landscaping contractor, CSLB Lic. #1102401. The concrete, stonework and pavers we build are part of your landscape, not stand-alone jobs.
Progress to finish
In progress, then finished
The same spot on the same job: mid-build, then done.

The cracked concrete path came out, then a paver walk went in with river-rock beds and path lights.

Pavers set in decomposed granite, then turf joints and planted beds.

The old tile patio, then tumbled pavers with stacked-stone column bases under the pergola.
Questions
Things people ask before they call.
Pavers or concrete?
Pavers usually cost more to install than poured concrete, but a single paver can be lifted and reset if a root or a repair needs it. Concrete gives one continuous surface. Both last when the base is right.
Why do some paver patios sink?
The base was too thin, not compacted in layers, or the edges were not restrained. That is where we spend our time.
Can you put pavers over my old concrete?
Sometimes, if the slab is sound and the height works at doors and steps. Often it is better to remove it. We look at it on the site visit.
Do you build paver driveways?
As part of a front-yard landscape project, yes. We do not take stand-alone driveway jobs.
